Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nasr

Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nasr (born 1953) is a distinguished Egyptian academic, engineer, and education policy leader with decades of experience in advancing technical and higher education systems.

He served as Egypt’s Minister of Education (2013–2015) and currently holds the position of Director of the Arab Open University in Egypt. He is also an Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Power Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.

With a strong academic and research background, Professor Abu El-Nasr has authored over 80 scientific publications and patents, with a particular focus on the development and modernization of technical education.
